“The STAR Program has made me a responsible student. My eligibility for the program depend[ed] on my grades, effort, conduct and attendance each quarter and I work[ed] hard to surpass these expectations. Thanks to this program, I now have a plan, not just a dream, for my future.”
“I hope more sponsors invest in the STAR Program, because if it has helped my family and me, [it] can help others. I would like to thank my sponsor for everything he has done for me and in helping me aspire to be a better person by getting a great education. To all of the children who are about to enter the program, I say to you, ‘Take advantage of it. Set your goals and go for them. It might be hard at first, but in the end, it will always pay off.'”
