“One of the benefits of being in the STAR program is having a sponsor and knowing that someone wants to inspire me and help me get a good education. Being held accountable was a factor that motivated me and helped me stay on track. It made me work harder, but it wasn’t the only reason I studied hard. I have formed good study habits and I am more determined to get the best grade possible. Being a STAR student helped me to be determined and confident, to set my mind on something and do it.”
